NuFi Crypto Wallet
Non-custodial crypto platform for secure managing digital assets.
Context & Challenge
NuFi is a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet designed to simplify the complex world of Web3. The primary challenge was to create a platform that could handle multi-chain assets (Solana, Cardano, Flow, and more) while remaining accessible to users who might be intimidated by traditional crypto interfaces.
In an industry where security often comes at the cost of usability, NuFi aimed to prove that a high-security, non-custodial wallet can feel as intuitive and polished as a modern fintech app.
My Role
For 9 months, I served as the **Sole Product Designer**, taking full ownership of the product's visual and functional evolution. Working directly with the founders and engineering team, I managed the entire design ecosystem:
- Product Strategy: Identifying user pain points in cross-chain asset management and staking.
- End-to-End Design: From low-fidelity wireframes to pixel-perfect UI and interactive prototypes.
- Branding: Refinement of the visual identity and development of a consistent brand language.
- Design Systems: Building and maintaining a modular component library to speed up development.
Branding & Visual Identity
Trust is the most valuable currency in crypto. I developed a visual identity that combines "high-tech" aesthetics with approachable design patterns. The use of vibrant accents against a sophisticated dark palette creates a feeling of precision and modernism.
Development of the brand's visual language and core identity elements.
UX Strategy: Complexity Simplified
The core of the NuFi experience lies in its ability to handle complex operations—like cross-chain swaps and staking—seamlessly. I focused on creating linear, distraction-free flows for these high-stakes actions.
Unified dashboard providing a clear overview of assets across multiple blockchains.
Intuitive staking interface designed to maximize transparency around rewards and risks.
Feature Deep Dive
Beyond the dashboard, I designed specialized interfaces for NFT galleries, DApp integrations, and advanced security settings. Every feature was built on the principle of "progressive disclosure"—showing users only what they need when they need it.
The Outcome
Over the course of my tenure, NuFi evolved from a technical prototype into a market-ready product with a distinct competitive edge. The consistent design language helped establish NuFi as a premium player in the multi-chain wallet space, leading to increased user trust and significant growth in the number of managed assets.
It is worth noting that I worked on the very first version of the application. While the design has naturally evolved and been modified over time, the foundational principles and visual framework established during that initial phase continue to serve as the core of the product's development and growth.
